Yes. We are asking guests to put phones and cameras away during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception so everyone can be fully present. We’ll happily share professional photos and videos afterward.

Our dress code is formal attire. We invite you to dress up to help us celebrate our marriage! The celebration is at a countryside venue, so please keep grass, cobblestone, gravel, stairs, and September weather in mind when choosing shoes and layers. Long gowns or skirts, suits and ties (no tuxedos) are preferred.

Yes. We ask guests not to wear white (including patterns on mostly white bases), dark brown, dark green, or pomegranate, as these are the colours the wedding party will be wearing. Instead, please wear formal attire in bright colours and/or fun patterns. If you have any doubts or questions about your outfit ideas, please contact the bride and/or groom.

Yes. When completing your RSVP, there will be a place to share dietary restrictions and allergies so we can pass them along to the venue.

Yes, there will be an open bar. The bar will pause service during dinner service so you can enjoy your meal uninterrupted. To keep the celebration fun and safe, all alcoholic beverages must stay within the licensed areas: Inside the venue, just outside the front door to the venue, and on the designated patio of the venue. Guests under the age of 19 will not be served alcohol.

Smoking cigarettes and vapes is permitted at least 5 meters away from doors and on grassy areas away from patios.

Yes. Complimentary parking is available for all wedding guests at Strathmere. You are also welcome to leave your vehicle onsite overnight; please collect it the following morning by 10:30 a.m.

Uber and taxi drivers typically come out to Strathmere for pickups and drop-offs. For a local provider familiar with the area and venue, we recommend Capital Taxi at (613) 744-3333.

The ceremony and cocktail hour are planned outdoors, weather permitting. If the weather does not cooperate, the venue plan will shift indoors. If the ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors as planned, come prepared for sun.

Strathmere does offer some overnight accommodations. However, space is limited and booked on a first-come basis. Contact Strathmere for information on availability.
